School Support Staff Industrial Action Information – 5 January 2017

Our School Support staff have Planned Collective action in Mackworth Ward on Thursday 5 January 2017.

In response to member requests we have decided to target the Mackworth area tomorrow as part of our collective action.

Please meet at the Derby Homes Community Room, Streatham Road, Mackworth, DERBY DE22 4AZ (note there is only on street parking and you may need to park in adjoining streets and walk a short distance.) Meet  at 9.30 am for a briefing and refreshments prior to campaigning in groups.

It is very important that as many members as possible support this action, to achieve coverage of the area and as UNISON members it is everyone’s responsibility to take part. We are only able to use the venue until midday and therefore we aim to have completed the activity by then.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow, and don’t forget those T-shirts!

Stay strong and keep fighting. What Derby Council are doing to you is morally unjustifiable and it is not true to say that they have no choice. You are not asking for more, but you can’t be expected to just accept a huge pay cut and continue doing the same job.
Solidarity from Durham TAs #fightingon

Greetings, solidarity and respect from Birmingham UNISON. Your struggle and determination are an inspiration to us all.

Good Luck Derby TAs from a Durham TA.

We fully support you and totally agree that the pay cuts are totally immoral.

Please keep us up to date.
