School Support Staff – Industrial Action Summary – 24 & 25 January 2917

Here is coverage of the School Support Staff Industrial Action from 24 & 25 January 2017

Below Dave Prentis General Secretary of UNISON on Tuesday 24 January talking about the unions commitment to the ongoing action, and the launch of our School Support Staffs Advan which will be travelling around derby, keep your eyes out.

“Derby’s Labour council cut school support staff wages by 25%. That’s £400 a month. Could you cope?”

An amazing turnout of our School Support Staff on Wednesday 25 January 2017 marching down from The Spot to the Council House.

Here our School Support Staff arrive at the Council House and carry out their protest first linking arms around the entire building, while the advan circles the building, and then being very vocal before the Council Cabinet Meeting begins.

One of our School Support Staff explains the days action and why this industrial action is important.
