Calling all Derby City School Support Staff

Assemble outside the Council House on

Wednesday 3 February at 5pm

T&C Demo 3.2.16Don’t be backed into a corner, make your voices heard!

Bring banners, whistles… anything to make your voices heard! Why not pick up a UNISON placard from our new branch office at Royal Oak House from 4:45pm. Representatives from each school will be going into the public gallery for the council meeting at 5:45pm, demo to finish at 6pm.

UNISON Derby City Schools Team Need YOU!

Demo 25 Nov 2015Public Gallery/Council Meeting

Remember “we need you” for the demo tomorrow.  They have been successful so far and “we are stronger together”.  Join us again outside the Council House at 5.00pm and then from 5.45pm, two people from each school will be allowed into the public gallery to observe proceedings and we would like these people to take notice of the following:

  • Behave professionally
  • No heckling
  • Recognise it’s a public meeting
  • Speech to be made (for 5 minutes) regarding the petition (OK to clap after).
  • Dignity At All Times

 Everybody had the opportunity to raise questions, if you wish there will be chances at future meetings.

Wednesday 25 November 2015 – Assemble outside the Council House at 5pm. Bring banners etc.

If you have received an individual letter to sign up and agree to the changes , you may wish to RETURN it at the demo , just write “Thanks , but no Thanks,

2 Reps from each school will be able to go to  the public gallery for the council meeting at 6pm. Some of  the questions you have raised will be answered and  we will be making a statement about the petition with over 5000 signatures raised by our members in Derby City Council.

UNISON Derby City are organising a demonstration outside the Council House to oppose the changes to Terms & Conditions for school support staff. If these changes go ahead they will see some staff lose 25% of their salary over night.
