Every year more people are killed at work than in wars. Most don’t die of mystery ailments, or in tragic “accidents”. They die because an employer decided their safety just wasn’t that important a priority. Workers’ Memorial Day (WMD) commemorates those workers. More information about the national event can be found here.. https://www.tuc.org.uk/wmd2016
UNISON East Midlands have organised a family day out in aid of UNISON Welfare. We encourage our members to have a healthy work/life balance so are putting on a free coach to this event, leaving Derby at 9:30am, returning from Carsington Water at 3:30pm.
There are three different walks;
1 mile, 3 miles and 5 1/2 miles.
Registration is £2 per person or £5 per family, payable on the day. All money raised goes to UNISON Welfare.
There is a refreshment stop at the Miner’s Arms in Carsington Village, there is also the picnic area on the village green.
A fun day out for the whole family!
The coach is FREE but places are limited so please contact the office to book your place
