 We return to conference with the discussion of Motion 5 – Increasing participation of Lower paid Women in Our Union – this motion was carried

following this speech we now move to Motion 13 – A Health and Safety response to a National Crisis of stress and its effects on Public Service Workers, here we can see Becky Everett move the motion

We now move to Motion 22 – Tackling Health Inequalities and Closing the Life Expectancy Gap – was discussed and carried as ammended 22.1.

Motion 1 Organising to win – Building Workplace Power Through Participation – this motion was carried as amended 1.1.

Motion 4 – Equality is UNISON Business – was carried as amended 4.2.

UNISON National Delegate Conference 2023 – Morning Session – Day 1

Andrea Eagan passed our thoughts to all service personnel and all those affected in Nottingham following the incident in the city centre.

Andrea also gave her report to conference and welcomed all those attending and also all of the special guests.

We then moved to a moment of reflection to remember all those union activists who have sadly passed away over the past year.

we now have the moving of the Standing orders report 1 & 2 which set out the order of business for this years National Delegate Conference these were both carried. there were some issues raised and referenced back which will be reported back in the next report.

This years Annual report is now moved by the NEC (National Executive Council) this was carried, you can read the report below.

We now receive the financial report from the National Finance Committee – this was carried, you can read the report below

Following this we now move to the Presidents Speech from Andrea Egan.
